we used to wrap babies in cloth and strap them to our backs. now we dress them up in little people clothes and push them around in mini-suv sized strollers. Something is amiss.

What’s in my bag: Usually I try and reserve my flicker account for the better photos I take, but I make the occasional exception, and I always find it fascinating to see the contents of interesting people’s bags, and thought it would be fun to do mine. And yes, I typically have 1 book of each type in my bag. If it’s not too cold or wet I’ll usually be reading one as I walk to and from work. There are four notable items that don’t usually live in my bag but travel with me constantly. 1) an Altoids tin filled with my Moo Cards that lives in my coat (actually 2 of them, one in each coat). 2) my phone (with which I took this pic) 3) Cash and cards, which live in my pocket. I don’t own a wallet. 4) My keys, which live in the other pocket.

This morning tried to make it so i could ssh into my work computer (they disable that by default)....

This morning tried to make it so i could ssh into my work computer (they disable that by default). Eventually, I gave up. Then, I told tech support what I’d tried and asked them to configure it so that I could log in and accomplish shit when not sitting at my desk.

They promptly made it impossible for me to log in while sitting at it also.

I have not accomplished a single $@#% thing today even though I really wanted to. And I’m sick of surfing. And it’s time to go home.

Does anyone else find this collection of names odd? I make one comment* about a coffee machine and that’s the result on Plurk. There was no response on Twitter. Is there some cultural connection between people with Arabic and Indian sounding names and French, or coffee, of which I am unaware? And why only a response on Plurk?

* Side note: why can’t I link to past plurks but I can to past tweets?
